This kingbird was first reported by a reputable birder without audio in December. Several birders looked for it on the Green Valley CBC – but it was not re-found. On February 6, 2023 it was spotted on a Green Valley golf course and audio was obtained and the bird was confirmed. It showed up the following day, where I got these not-quite-crappy (a photographer’s technical term) photos. The bird kept its distance from golfers and photographers. Gary Rosenberg and Chris Benesh obtained additional audio. On the following day I obtained some really bad photos. This is the 4th Arizona record for Couch’s Kingbird.
