August 17, 2020
So yesterday, August 16, 2020, I birded with Cathy Beck at Arivaca Lake and we found a Northern Waterthrush. We both though that this was a pretty good bird. Then another is posted in Tucson, and then this morning, a Louisiana Waterthrush is found at Sam Lena Park! Three waterthrushes in two days. The same spot where the Prothonotory Warbler was found on Friday. Go figure. I guess the additional birders hoping to see the colorful warbler stumbled onto the waterthrush. Birding works like this often. More eyes looking finds more things.
