Clay-colored Sparrow, Santa Gertrudis 9-16-23
This bird really got my attention. There were several very dull Brewer’s Sparrows foraging the seed heads and the Clay-colored just popped up in front of me near the Brewer’s.

It’s getting a bit late for some of these birds. Lucifers are still being seen in Ash Canyon.

It has been suggested that the top bird may be a Calliope
