End of the World Birding: Plain-capped Starthroat

This is the second Starthroat in the region recently. A very shy bird was at Paton’s in Patagonia for about a week and shortly after that bird disappeared this one appeared twenty miles away. Not the same bird. In 2020 there was a bird at Paton’s that lingered for about 6 weeks. The red on the distal portion of the bill is a reflection from a feeder, which I managed to edit out of the photo. This Starthroat is not particularly shy, and makes regular feeder sorties beginning at ~5:25 am.
