I put off going out on the bike this morning and instead tried for birds of opportunity at Tubac. There has been, besides the Becards; Black-and-White Warblers, American Redstarts and a Greater Pewee seen recently. I was looking for some good fall migrant warblers. We’ve had Magnolia, Black-Throated Blue and Parulas in the region. It’s about time for a Black-throated Green or something really good. Nope. I had seven common warblers, the Greater Pewee, and a Dusky-capped Fly. I did catch this Common Black-hawk “makin’ lazy circles in the sky” (Guess where that line came from).
