January 24, 2023 White-eyed Vireos have been seen recently at Rancho Santa Cruz, a resort just south of Santa Gertrudis. Another was found in Box Canyon – an unlikely location, on January 21 by Nolan Walker. This seems unusual, a B+W Warbler foraging in the tops of the flowering Cottonwoods -like any ordinary warbler.

January 7, 2023 This is the second red-headed woodpecker that’s shown up in SEAZ. The first was in Phoenix. It hung around for a few days in a park before being run off by Starlings. This bird was found in a pecan grove just south of San Simon in Cochise County.
